Cloud computing is the delivery of computing as a service rather than a product, whereby shared resources, software, and information are provided to computers and other devices as a metered service over a network (typically the Internet).
Cloud computing is a marketing term for technologies that provide
computation, software, data access, and storage services that do not
require end-user knowledge of the physical location and configuration of
the system that delivers the services.
In this lecture John Seely Brown ( visiting scholar and advisor to the Provost at University of Southern California (USC)) says,
Entrepreneurs in the 21st century need to think about taking advantage
of advanced tools like cloud computing and social media to progress at a
pace - and with such lean, muscular resources - previously
unimaginable.

Co-founder of Netscape Communications Corp. He has also served as Chief
Technology Officer of AOL (after AOL acquired Netscape).
